#Chapter 213: Beta’s Betrayal
Alexander’s POV
I spotted Ella’s pale face as I passed by, and noticed the way her jaw clenched as she looked at Gabriel. I wanted to ask if she was okay, but I couldn’t. Not with so many people watching. Her identity still needed to remain a secret, at least for now.
And besides, I needed to focus.
My conniving old Beta had just shown up at my doorstep after months of being too much of a coward to show his face, and now he was pleading for forgiveness.
Of course, I wasn’t going to give it to him. But I did need answers.
I followed the warriors who were escorting Gabriel down to the Ashclaw prison cells beneath the estate and had them cuff him to one of the metal interrogation chairs. To his credit, Gabriel didn’t put up a fight the entire time.
“Leave us,” I said, waving my hand at the guards. “I want to speak to him privately.”
The guards nodded and left. The door slammed shut behind us, casting the small cell into silence.
