Ella’s POV
Anya’s dress was a little tighter in some areas and a little looser in others, but it fit for the most part. And with the short red wig covering my burgundy hair, it was a believable enough disguise to get by with. I wouldn’t have to wear it for long, anyway.
Or at least, so I hoped.
Anya turned to me as she adjusted her gray Omega’s uniform in front of the mirror.
“I’m sorry I slapped you so hard,” she whispered, glancing at the red mark still staining my cheek. “I guess I got a little overzealous, didn’t I?”
I smirked. “It’s alright. You played your part well. Besides, I probably deserved it after all the nonsense I’ve put you through over the past months.”
