As he moved to help me, I raised my hand to stop him. - Maurice, where is my room?
I tried to hide the pain in my voice.
I staggered back to my room, leaving blood behind, but Maurice promised to clean it up. I went to the bathroom and sat on the toilet and pulled out a piece of glass that had pierced my leg.
