Leo opened the car door and stepped out. He was dressed in a sharp suit, wore an expensive watch on his wrist, and walked with a calm and confident stride, exuding the air of a successful man. He asked, "Would you like to have dinner with me, Ms. Scott?"
Jasmine didn't want to be a mistress, so she politely declined.
Leo arched his brow. "Are you seriously turning me down, Ms. Scott?" He closed the distance between them, reaching for her hand.
Jasmine hastily took a step back. The scent of his cologne made her stomach churn.
Noticing her pull away, his gaze, behind his gold-rimmed glasses, darkened. "Ms. Scott, I thought you accepted my advances; you've accepted my flowers for a week, after all."
Jasmine was baffled. He didn't even leave a note on those flowers, so she couldn't return them if she wanted to. Yet, he was using this as proof that she had agreed to his advances. "Mr. Henderson," she called out apathetically. "I can pay you back for the flowers."
