Damien ended the call, rising from his chair and leaving the CEO's office. Scott noticed his expression was frighteningly dark. He wanted to ask what was wrong, but didn't dare approach and risk being snapped at. The other secretarial staff were equally on edge. "Mr. Keller, what's wrong with Mr. Caldwell?" Amber asked. "No idea," Scott replied. "Should we check on him?" Remembering Damien's earlier warning, Scott shook his head. "No. He's handling personal business." With Damien looking like that, it was hard not to assume Autumn had stirred up trouble again. Just two days ago, Damien had gone to Merova. Though he hadn't said what happened, Scott was sure it had to do with her. Scott had always looked down on Autumn and didn't care about her affairs. If Damien didn't bring it up, he wouldn't ask. He had zero patience for idiots, or Autumn. He hoped Emilia would take her place soon. Nonetheless, with Damien already buying her a house, it should be happening quickly.
