Autumn instinctively let out a soft hum of agreement.
"If you're scared, then don't do it again."
"I wouldn't dare take advantage of you again, Mr. Faulkner," Autumn replied sincerely.
Dawson said nothing.
Her tone was calm, and her response was effortless. She didn't seem afraid of him at all.
Dawson decided not to say anything more.
Later, Autumn accompanied Dawson to their next engagement, which was a poker game at an exclusive business club.
"I knew you took Autumn out on your own! So it was to help her shop for clothes!" Rico exclaimed, then turned to Autumn with a grin. "Isn't Dawson thoughtful?"
