The sports car drifted sharply in the middle of the road before coming to a clean stop.
The wind stirred up by the sudden halt messed up strands of Victoria's hair. The moment she saw the car, she knew exactly who it belonged to.
Natalie's brows drew together tightly as she fixed her gaze on the man in the driver's seat.
She hadn't expected this much noise—she just wanted to get the chip, plain and simple.
Seconds later, Theodore stepped out of the car.
He was wearing a long black coat, and his tall, lean frame stood out even more against the darkness.
There was something commanding about him, like he didn't need to say a word to convey authority. Just standing there, he gave off a vibe that made people drop their eyes.
Natalie narrowed her sharp eyes slightly, gripping the lighter in her hand just a little tighter.
