The scent of Alpha Kieran's territory was a slap to the face, a mix of pine and damp earth, underlaid with the distinct, weakening musk of a pack in disarray. It wasn't the proud, confident aroma of a thriving domain, but something frayed at the edges, thinned by the absence of its true leader. Good. That's exactly how we wanted it.
