I breathed a sigh of relief as the week was halfway over. I wasn't sure I could handle much more. Thoughts of Skye and the decision I had reached while playing golf with her father had been consuming my mind. Deep down, I didn't want to end things with her, but I knew there was a lot at stake, and our relationship could potentially ruin everything.
My phone vibrated on the side table next to the couch, and I reluctantly got up to answer it. Seeing Skye's name on the screen made my heart skip a beat. I didn't want to pick up, but I couldn't ignore her.
"Hey," I greeted as I answered.
"Hey. I was wondering if I could come over," she said.
"Sure," I replied. "The door will be open."
"Okay, be there in five," she said before hanging up.
I smiled as Skye entered the room. She looked adorable in a small T-shirt with a rainbow on the front and a pair of knit shorts. She strutted over to the living room, climbed on top of me, and planted a kiss on my neck while straddling me. For a momen
