Chapter 17

I eyed the closed door behind him as I weighed out the possibility of him catching me before I had even made it out the door. I couldn't run in the state that I was in; if it wasn't for the wall behind me I knew that I would have slumped onto the floor a long time ago. The stranger was strong and no doubt fast, he would catch me before I had even gotten past the closest corner of the bed. His head suddenly snapped up as his eyes locked with mine, his hands releasing the tight fistfuls of hair leaving his blonde hair looking wild and untamed, but that only seemed to make him more attractive. He had caught me staring and now I was trapped within his eyes, they swirled with many emotions before they hardened with a clear emotion of determination. I felt my heart rate pick up and I knew that I was in trouble. This man was dangerous, how dangerous I didn't know but if what I had seen was true, that he could turn into a wolf; then he had the ability to kill within seconds.
