Chapter 356
“Mr. Ellington, Miss Harrington just landed. Our people are all in place. What’s your next move?” 11 said over the phone.
“Take a few deadliners with you and stay close to her. No matter what happens, her safety comes first,” Prescott Ellington ordered, his voice low and cold. “The rest, keep your distance, follow quietly. You know the drill. Don’t ask again. Just make sure I don’t get any bad news about her getting hurt.”
11 straightened up, voice firm. “Understood, sir.”
“Daddy, when’s Mommy coming back?” Lottie looked up at him, tiptoeing closer.
It was pitch dark outside. She hadn’t seen her mom in hours, and though she missed her badly, she held back the urge to cry.
Prescott slipped the phone into his pocket, then crouched down to scoop her into his arms. “Missing Mom already?”
She nodded, eyes turning red as she looked down.
He gently rubbed her little head. “Hey now, Mommy’s working. She has to finish the job before she can come home. Daddy’ll be with you these days, okay?”
