I swear, I’ve never seen Oliver look that pissed before.
Right when I was peering closely at the photo, he slammed his glass down on the table—hard.
"Had enough staring?" he said, voice low and chilly.
I was still too focused on the picture to care.
The she-wolf in that photo? Smokin’ hot. Definitely one of the most attractive women I've seen. Top-tier.
"She’s stunning, man. A total knockout. She could walk right onto a movie set and blow every actress off the screen."
"Way better looking than those TV stars," I added, still holding his phone, admiring the picture. Then I frowned and thought for a second.
"Now it makes sense why you're hung up on her, Oliver."
"She must’ve been even more gorgeous back in school, huh? Bet that pretty face in a school uniform—"
I looked up, smiling from the thought—only to be met with Oliver’s face, dark as a thundercloud.
His hand curled into a tight fist, aimed right in my direction like a warning.
“Yeah,” Oliver said, voice flat as ever.
