She spun around to face Laurel, her gaze cold. "Have you conveniently forgotten what happened three years ago? Who was the first to throw our friendship out the window?" Laurel's face changed. Rita sneered. "Never mind. The Esther family has raised an unappreciative person like you. It's our ill fortune." After that, she got in the car, speeding away. The car drove in front of Laurel, which scared her to take a step back. Her face contorted with rage. She knew it. Rita had been pretending to be gentle and dignified in the past.
