Chapter 834
Andrew frowned slightly. Was 50 grand too little?
A second later, the silence was broken by excited cheers.
Wyatt was the loudest. "You guys aren't just like my parents—you are my parents! Andrew, do you need a son?"
"Wow, so you're not just some rich kid. You actually make money yourself?"
"If I were making that much money, I'd be the happiest guy on the planet."
"Alright, let's order! Eat whatever you want tonight. This is a feast!"
Andrew handed a menu to Melina and said softly, "Keep ordering."
Melina was frugal, but she wasn't stingy. She had no problem with Andrew treating everyone to dinner.
Seeing how excited everyone was, she picked the menu back up. Since it was Andrew paying, she wasn't hesitant at all.
Compared to the outrageous prices she had seen in Cyntia, this didn't even feel expensive.
With all the dishes ordered, they also got two cases of beer to celebrate.
"Alright, fill them up! Everyone, let's toast first!"
"Melina, I'll pour yours!"
Thanks to Andrew giving them all a treat, they viewed Melina more favorably.
Melina nodded. She was feeling a little down and actually wanted a drink.
But before the beer was poured, Andrew reached out and stopped it. He turned to the waiter. "Do you have fresh juice? If not, just bring a glass of warm water."
A moment later, fresh juice was placed in front of her.
Melina frowned.
Andrew leaned in and said softly, "Do you really think drinking is a good idea with your current condition?"
Melina suddenly remembered the baby inside her.
Her slightly rounded belly was hidden under her thick coat, and no one knew she was pregnant. Even she had almost forgotten these past few days.
Since she couldn't drink, no one forced her.
The dinner went on happily. Everyone enjoyed the sizzling skewers from the barbecue, even with the smoke and heat making them sweat.
When the meal was almost over, Melina lifted her glass of juice. "I can't drink, so I'll use juice instead. Here's a toast to all of you."
Everyone quickly raised their glasses and clinked them together.
Only after taking a sip did Melina continue. "Andrew and I have been here for a while now. The basketball club has been my favorite part of it all. Thank you for taking care of Andrew. And thank you for your kindness."
Wyatt frowned in confusion. "Melina, why does that sound like a farewell speech?"
Melina nodded. "Yeah, we're heading back soon. We came here as guest students just to experience things for a while. Now that we've experienced enough, it's time to go."
The cheerful expressions on everyone's faces froze. They had just played one game together, and now Andrew was already leaving. It wasn't a great feeling.
Melina smiled and continued, "All good things come to an end. Andrew and I are actually married. We live in Cyntia. If any of you ever visit, reach out to us."
"What? You're married? Wait, that's not the point. When are you leaving? Can't you stay and attend a few more classes?"
"We've already experienced everything we needed to. We're leaving tomorrow."
