Chapter 840

It was bad enough that Adam and Rebecca had been were so aloof to Sasha, but how dare Andrew look at her with such indifference? Sasha screamed, "So what if I wasn't a good mother? At least I didn't abuse you! That alone makes me better than those siblings! "What kind of expression is that? I carried you for nine months and gave birth to you. That means you owe me your life! "I killed for you! If it weren't for me, you wouldn't even be alive! You owe me two lives! You will always owe me! How dare you look at me like that?" Andrew listened to her words, lost in thought. Was he supposed to be grateful simply because she hadn't tortured him? He felt that his visit today had been pointless. Not every parent loved their child. His entire demeanor changed. His cold gaze grew sharp and merciless; it was like the Demon Lord looking down at an insignificant insect. Sasha's madness stalled. She froze, staring at Andrew in a daze. Andrew didn't look like her. And he certainly didn't resemble Adam. He looked calm, powerful—the kind of son any mother would be proud of. But Andrew had no interest in whatever fantasy she was spinning now. His voice was as cutting as ice. "You gave birth to me, then threw me away. That life has already been repaid. I survived on my own. You had nothing to do with that. "As for the lives you took... You're right. If you hadn't killed them, I wouldn't have made it out alive. So, I got you something in return. A place in the Wentworth family." Sasha stared blankly. "A place?" "Yes. You always hated that you never became a true Wentworth, didn't you? Well, my grandfather finally agreed. You're officially part of the family now." Her sunken eyes widened. They looked like they might pop out of her skull. Then, she burst into laughter. "Good! Good! I'm satisfied! I'll haunt that jerk even after I die. He'll never know peace, not in life and certainly not in death! "That wretched woman got nothing in the end. She was a disgrace while she was alive, and now she's nothing even in death!" Andrew watched Sasha laugh hysterically. He realized this visit had been meaningless. The world was filled with filth. It was utterly disgusting. Maybe his expression had shown too much of his disgust because Sasha suddenly shrieked, "Why are you looking at me like that? You cold-blooded bastard! "You have Wentworth blood in your veins! If you hate anyone, it should be yourself! Fifteen years, and not once did you come to see me. You're such an ungrateful son!" Andrew stood up, ready to leave. There was nothing else he needed to know. But Sasha wasn't done. She slammed her hands on the table, laughing wildly. "You're at the end of your rope, aren't you? Did you come here hoping for comfort? Or for love?" She laughed so hard her whole body shook. "Let me tell you something, Andrew. You were never wanted. You were nothing but a tool to spite Adam! Even your name wasn't chosen for you! I picked it to remind that bastard that he was nothing but a heartless traitor! "I've suffered all these years, so why should anyone else be happy? I curse every single person with the Wentworth name! None of you deserve to die in peace!" Andrew reached the door and didn't bother stopping or turning back. He left the prison behind and walked away. He would never come back. Suddenly, he just wanted to see Melina. In this world, he had nothing except her. The car sped up as he grew more anxious. He wanted to see her immediately. His foot pressed harder on the gas pedal, his frustration building as he still couldn't see her. The scenery blurred past him, distorted like it was being crushed under the wheels. He pushed the pedal even harder. With a loud crash, he hit a road barrier, but he didn't slow down.
