The moment the plane touched down in Morocay, I walked down the steps with my baby in my arms. As soon as I exited the terminal, I saw my parents waiting for me.
"Dad! Mom!" I ran toward them and nearly threw myself into my mother's arms.
But she immediately stopped me. "Goodness, you're a grown woman now. Don't be so reckless. Look at the baby in your arms. Be careful not to squish him."
She shot me a look, while my father silently reached out and gently took the baby from me to free my hands to hug my mother. "Mom…"
