Damien's POV I was still pissed about Rita acting like I’m made of money. I’m already doing more than enough around here, and she had some nerve asking for anything else. Sure, she’s taking a risk by helping us get them back, but I know Rita well enough to see through her. She’s not doing this out of the kindness of her heart, she wants Ashton, badly. She reminds me so much of Kayla, and that’s not a compliment. Kayla had always pretended to be kind, until I mated her. The last three years have shown me just how wrong I was about her.
