The next day, the group slept in until late morning. The six wolves were lounging by the cave entrance, calmly grooming their fur. The group set up a fire outside and began cooking breakfast, sharing some food with the wolves. Demi, however, took some herbs and began feeding one of the adult wolves. The wolf ate the herbs obediently. "Wolves eat grass?" Caitlin asked, surprised. "Wolves sometimes eat grass, but only if there's no meat," Chad commented. "Those are herbs," Herne explained. "This male wolf has some health issues. I'm treating him as a thank-you for sheltering us last night," Demi said calmly. The group was taken aback. A sick male wolf? How did Demi know that?
