Chapter 53

“Not bad. I feel like a king. My little maid here served me everything I asked for.” Chase was pointing at Ava playfully when he mentioned the word ‘maid’. This was the Chase I knew. The Chase who would talk nonsense and joke around. “So, my king, would you lie down and take some rest?” Ava sounded a little irritated but she was smiling. “Sure. But I’m hungry. After I wake up, I must see food displayed in front of me.” Chase was acting like a king. He put up a strict face and made his voice sounded rougher than usual. I was trying very hard not to laugh out loud. “Yes, my king.” Ava replied him half-heartedly she pushed him down to the bed. He tuggedbthe blankets nicely around him. Just as Ava was leaving, Chase held her hands and pointed to his lips. Ava looked at Chase’s childish expression and chuckled. She leaned forward to give him a peck on his lips. A satisfied looking Chase had a smile formed on his lips and closed his eyes to sleep.
