Kay This is bad. Everyone in the room turns to Rico with accusing eyes. Well, except me. "And what makes you think I have anything to do with it?" Rico shouts, throwing his hands up. Carl laughs dryly, closing the distance between them." Are you seriously asking me that?" he whispers in anger. "I had nothing to do with it. I didn't even know they were attacking." Rico denies in a serious tone, but his brother chuckles instead. Well, what am I supposed to do in this case? I don't want to upset either of them or be on their bad side. Marcello and Theo draw their guns and point them at Rico, but he doesn't seem fazed. "You are the last person I will ever trust," Carl seethes, grabbing the neck of Rico's hoodie. Why isn't he fighting back or doing anything? I take slow steps toward them, hoping I won't get into trouble with anyone, especially Carl. "What if he's telling the truth, Carl?" I whisper with the hope he won't snap at me. "Stay out of this, princess. My men are so
