"I don't think I can say all of this-" I point to the book, "to my dad over the phone or through mindlink. I want to go and ask him questions and figure out when I'll get my 'new power'. I promise to come back, or you can come with me?" I ask a tiny drop of hope in me. He smiles softly at me, "You promise to come back?" He asks and I nod. "I can't come with you because I'm an alpha and I can't leave my pack unproductive, but I'll be holding on to that promise.
