Nicole It had been more than ten days since I woke up and was discharged from the hospital, but I still hadn't seen Damien. Luna Xandra told me he'd gone on an emergency trip to negotiate with a neighboring territory in the Northeast—something about reinforcing Pack alliances. She mentioned he might not return for another month or two. But what bothered me most was that he hadn't even called.
