Seraphina's POV
Kaelos' eyes flashed sharply, and I could feel the heat in his chest as he was overcome with emotion. His blue eyes shone, his jaw tightened with frustration. He then stood up and walked toward the cabin door.
“Not now,” he said in a cold voice that sent a chill down my spine—not because of passion this time, but because of the threat. “Be back in an hour.”
“But sir, the dinner will get cold if—”
“I said NOT NOW,” his voice exploded with Alpha authority, making the air around us tremble. “Leave. Us. Alone.”
Silence followed, then the sound of hurried footsteps receding. Kaelos stood with his back to me, his hands clenched at his sides, clearly trying to regain control of himself.
