Marley gasped, nearly dropping her croissant. "Me? Oh no! What did I do?! Did I forget a date?! Did I break a promise?!" She panicked. "You committed the ultimate betrayal." Her boyfriend laughed over the rim of his coffee, blue eyes twinkling. "You didn't tell Ian about your little spitfire moment with a certain cheerleader that he'd been predicting. He's disappointed he doesn't have a video to watch but he's looking forward to a play-by-play later." "It wasn't exactly a cat fight," Marley said thoughtfully, chewing her first bite. "But if it was you'd definitely win." He winked at her, and she only scoffed. Aside from that guy at the frat party over the weekend, Marley could never hurt a fly. She isn't a physical fighter and they both know that, preferring to use words to cool heated conflicts. Aiden's phone chimed from in her pocket, and he nodded towards it, his mouth full of sandwich. "Check who it is baby? I'm waiting for an email from one of my profs."
