Ginny accepted Jennifer’s gesture of goodwill with both hands. She was polite, gentle, and generous, showing a humble profile while not being subservient. She said quietly, “I might have said something wrong. You don’t seem to welcome me very much, Mr. Fontaine.” Thaddeus smiled. “Don’t think too much and just eat. These were all made according to your taste.” Ginny’s eyes brightened as she said in surprise, “You know my taste?”
