Sierra keeps peeking through my eyes. She wants to help the rogue trapped down there, and set them free, but is afraid of us getting caught. How do we even get them out of the house? And, could we? We are just as much of a prisoner in Andrei’s home as that rogue, stuck down in the basement. Andrei has a key to the basement, he keeps it on a necklace around his neck, but oftentimes there is a spare hidden somewhere. I run my fingers along the edge of the door. No luck. I even check the hallway stand, hoping to find something in all the drawers, but find nothing. “Maybe we could take some water to whoever it is. I bet they are thirsty,” Sierra suggests, and I nod. Anything would be better than ignoring the poor person. After a while, we realize there is no spare key that we can find. Going upstairs, I find some bobby pins and a nail file. I grab anything we might be able to use to pick the lock. I return to the basement door and drop to my knees, I honestly didn’t think it would work. Ho
