#Chapter 38- Promoted Once Again

Fiona POV The icy glare Chloe sends my way when she arrives is not surprising. She’s been sending me the same angry look for two days, since I called her. I tried to apologize and explain my phone call, but she wouldn’t listen. There is no hint of the kind, bubbly girl I first met. Now she’s like a block of ice anytime I come near. I can almost feel the cold wafting off her when I’m forced to talk to her about work. Not that it happens much anymore. In fact, she doesn’t speak with me and often takes her work into Nolan’s office to ignore me. Nolan pulled me aside yesterday morning to ask about it, but when I was about to tell him, I remembered his reaction to my idea. Shrugging it off, I told him I wasn’t sure what happened and that he should talk to his daughter. If they want to pretend Andy isn’t a threat to them or the company, then I won’t argue with them.
