#Chapter 73- Free to Move On
Nolan POV
“You should take more time to rest, Chloe,” I say, wrapping an arm around her waist. She looks like she’ll fall over since she’s still weak, but again, she shakes her head in determination.
With the help of the research Fiona did, the doctors were able to counteract the harmful medication inside of Chloe’s body. Yesterday, she spent the day at my home, resting, but this morning, I had come downstairs to find her dressed and ready for work.
“I told you I’m fine,” she says with a sigh. “I’m fine, and I want to go back to work.”
I want to get back to work, too. I need to thank Fiona and apologize for saying that she was helping Andy. Because I wasn’t at work for the last two days, I hadn’t had a chance to talk to her, but the guilt is eating at me.
