Anna POV
When I opened my eyes, I found myself in my room. I felt pains on my back and legs. I raised my head, wanting to get up when a hand stopped me.
“Easy.” I heard Hannah’s voice and I turned around to look at her.
“Where is King Aiden?” I asked.
“He told us he will be leaving to the next town. Is something wrong?” She looked at me.
“No. I just—” I breathed out, thinking about what happened yesterday.
“Milady if there is anything you want to say please I am here for you.” She assured me.
I nodded my head. “I am hungry.” I said, not wanting her to find anything suspicious.
She stood up from the bed. “The doctor will be coming to check up on you.”
She left and came back after some time with a tray of food. When I tried to eat, I noticed that I had lost my appetite. I could not eat the food.

When the maid collected the letter from Anna, she smirked before walking back to the kitchen with the envelope in her hand. 
“Look what I got.” The maid smiled, handing the envelope to her co-worker who tore it to bring out the letter. 
After reading it through, they began to laugh.
“Who wrote this?” The first maid asked.
“Guess who?” She smiled. “It is no other than Anna. It looks like she has fallen in love with her sister’s husband.”
“No way!” The other maid jumped up. She walked to the kitchen door and locked it.
“Is she really in love with King Aiden?” The first maid asked.
“Don’t you see it in her eyes when she looks at him? She’s a backstabber! Why would she be doing this to her family, her blood sister?” The second maid said, infuriated.

Aiden POV
In the middle of the night when I noticed Anna would be asleep already, I stood up from the bed. Opening the door slowly, I tiptoed to her room. The windows in her room was opened wide and wind was passing through. My eyes moved to Anna and I saw her shivering on the bed without a blanket. 
Walking up to the windows, I closed them up. My eyes moved to the fireplace and I saw that the maids didn’t light it up to keep her room warm. I pulled up the cupboard where logs of wood was kept and I placed them in the fire place before lighting it up.
I stood up and went to where Anna was sleeping. Taking the blanket on her bed, I tucked it around her body. I looked down at her, unable to break my gaze from her. Since the time the incident had happened, I had not been able to go back to my normal routine but I know deep down I missed her. But this was not right. I can not continue to live
