Chapter 815 You Must Think I’m a Pushover

“Miss Moore! Help me!” Camilla yelled at Tamara. The two men caught up to her and grabbed her arms. “What are you doing?” Someone from the crowd tried to help Camilla, but they quickly bit back their shouts when they saw the two scary men. Tamara heard the familiar voice and turned around unconsciously. She only saw the busy crowd and couldn’t figure out who was calling out to her. What was happening? Were her ears playing tricks on her? Tamara retracted her gaze and headed for the lift. Camilla watched as Tamara left. Despair ate at her. She was dragged out of the building by the two men. “Aren’t you a runner? Go on! Try running off again!” One of the men slapped Camilla across the cheeks. He narrowed his eyes dangerously at her. Camilla groaned. Her cheeks had started swelling. “Alright. Let’s hand her over and call it a day,” said the other man. They started dragging Camilla off to the warehouse. “Did I say you could leave?” a soft voice suddenly sounded behind them. The two men turned around slowly. They saw Tamara standing behind them with a cold glint in her eyes. “Miss Moore…” Camilla was glad to see Tamara. She tried to run over, but the man gripped her hair. The two men exchanged a look. One of the men crept closer to Tamara. “I suggest you mind your own fucking business, lady. Or I will…oof!” The man had almost reached Tamara when she suddenly kicked where the sun didn’t shine. The man howled in pain and fell over. He rolled around miserably. Tamara ignored the man. She stalked closer toward Camilla and glared at the other man. “Release her.” The man knew who Tamara was. He piped up, “Tamara, you are Mr. Gladwell’s fiancée. This woman overheard Mr. Gladwell’s conversation. Are you trying to help this snitch?” Tamara cocked an eyebrow. “Oh? What did she overhear?” The man did not answer her. Instead, he was looking at her in alarm. He didn’t miss a single one of her actions. She was fast and precise. That wasn’t something an amateur could pull off! Tamara knew martial arts! The two men weren’t a match for her! The man glanced at the warehouse behind him. They were a distance away from it. He had to buy some time. He turned back to Tamara. “Don’t you want the antidote, Miss Moore? If you hand this woman over to Mr. Gladwell, I’m sure he will reward you with some antidotes.” Tamara gave it a thought. “You have a point.” Camilla’s jaw fell open. Was Tamara seriously considering the offer? The man saw a glimmer of hope. He added, “So let’s hand this woman over to Mr. Gladwell…” “Oh no! But I don’t like it when people are threatening me.” Tamara narrowed her eyes cheekily. She suddenly rushed forward. Before the man could react, Tamara’s fist had landed across his face. She added another kick to his guts. Tamara did not pull her punches. “It was one thing for your boss to threaten me. But for you assholes to pull the same move on me? You must think I’m a pushover.”
