Chapter 825 Two Days Until the Wedding

“Alex, where has all your stuff gone?” Old Mrs. Moore gripped Tamara’s hand. “Why did you remove everything that you love? Are you still mad at me?” Tamara’s nose pricked. She started, “Not at all. I’m not angry at you. You must be tired. Let’s head in to have some rest, okay?” Old Mrs. Moore continued to stare at her. “Why did you tear them all down? Those were your favorites.” Tamara didn’t know what to say. “I’m tired. Let’s head in to have some rest.” “Oh. Since you’re tired, let’s head in.” Old Mrs. Moore was distracted. Tamara helped the old woman to her room and watched as she fell asleep. Tamara breathed a sigh of relief. Quietly returning to her room, she stepped onto the balcony and observed the structure below. Everything Old Mrs. Moore had mentioned had vanished. Tamara didn’t know why they were gone. But Old Mrs. Moore did seem to remember all of Alex’s favorites. Tamara was lost in thought. Just then, her phone rang. Tamara pulled out her phone and saw it was a call from James. She frowned. An impatient look appeared on her face. “Hello?” Although unwilling, Tamara still answered the call. Tamara couldn’t risk going against James until the antidote was complete. “Where are you, Tamara?” came James’ gentle voice. Tamara muttered indifferently, “What do you want?” “I have booked our tickets. We can fly out tomorrow. The place is already decorated. Once we arrive, we can stay a night there before going through with our wedding,” exclaimed James joyfully. Tamara tightened her grip on the phone. “So soon?” “I’ve been waiting for this, Tamara,” said James. Tamara groaned, “I know.” Tamara hung up the phone. Looking over the garden, Tamara made a call. “Send some men to Biarus. Get them to make contact with the people on Nammu Bay.” “Yes,” complied her men. … Tamara went back to the hospital. Some of his men stood guard outside the lab, fearing James might pull another stunt. Tamara arrived at the lab and put on a protective suit before entering. The world’s top scientists were inside doing their research. A group of people surrounded George while Austin stood opposite him. Tamara walked over and saw they were in the midst of their research. She couldn’t help but ask, “Are you making any progress?” “Not at the moment,” mumbled Austin. Tamara hummed, “That’s alright. Once the antidote is done, inform me after you inject it into them.” “Okay,” nodded Austin. He noticed the tired look on Tamara’s face. Upon remembering how worried Tamara had been for the past half a month, he added, “We’ll be done soon.” Tamara nodded. It would all be over soon. Tamara left them to their own devices and exited the lab, returning to the ICU. As she gazed at her family member’s pallid countenance, she let out a sigh and became lost in thought. The day after tomorrow, she would marry James, yet she had yet to have her wedding with Sebastian. Tamara didn’t like where this was going. However, things wouldn’t be as grim if she looked at this from another angle. If they didn’t manage to come out with an antidote, James would hand them over to Tamara after they got married. In either case, Tamara would receive the antidote, and her family would be saved. While she was lost in thought, her phone rang.
