Chapter 842 You’re Lying
Helena was hell-bent on making James suffer a fate worse than death.
So, after crippling all of his limbs, she stopped shooting and put away her gun.
Tamara walked over.
Helena turned around and said to her, “Tammy, I’ll be heading back first.”
Tamara nodded. “I’ll send someone to accompany you.”
As she looked around, Anthony stepped forward. “I’ll accompany her.”
Helena glanced at Anthony and furrowed her brows, but she kept silent and walked toward a car.
Anthony followed behind her. His tall figure almost completely enveloped her small frame.
Tamara gave them a glance before turning her attention to James, who was lying on the beach. Even though his body was twitching, his gaze was fixed on her.
“You’re cruel, Tamara,” muttered James faintly.
Tamara retorted, “You’re one to speak.”
James chuckled. “Really? When I think about it, I am indeed quite cruel. Jessica did like me, but she didn’t like me enough. When you like someone, shouldn’t you be willing to die for them? I did. But she wasn’t like that. She was afraid of death, which made me angry, so I brought her to death’s door repeatedly. Of course, I made sure to keep her alive no matter how close to death she got. I repeated this process until she went completely insane. Then I got bored. So, I ended her life.”
Tamara closed her eyes.
She was aware of Jessica’s tragic death, but hearing it from James sent chills down her spine.
His mind was twisted, and he could no longer process reality like a sane person.
“Oh! By the way, I didn’t feel the least bit of hesitation when I poisoned your family. As soon as I poisoned them to death, I knew you would finally be mine. Every time I thought about it, I got excited.” James grinned.
His eyes lit up. “They will all leave you in the end, Tamara. Old Mrs. Lynch is old. Her time is almost up. Your uncle and aunt have their own lives. Not to mention, your brothers and your children will all leave you sooner or later. I am the only one who will always be by your side!”
Tamara stared coldly at the crazed James. She couldn’t believe how delusional he was.
Sebastian held her close and whispered, “It’s getting cold. Do you want to head back to the hotel?”
Tamara nodded. “Let’s go.”
Sebastian quickly wrapped his arm around Tamara and redirected her in a different direction.
They ignored James completely.
James was like a clown who was put on the spot. His jaw fell open.
Excruciating pain shot through him. He could only imagine what the future held for him.
James closed his eyes and suddenly called out calmly, “Tamara.”
Tamara stopped in her tracks. “Enough with your nonsense, James.”
James smiled faintly. “There’s something I never told you. I didn’t just prepare one kind of poison. When we left for Biarus, I had someone inject poison into Thomas, Caleb, and Melanie. The toxins will slowly spread through them. In seven days, they will die a violent death.”
Tamara felt the cold sea breeze cut through her like invisible blades.
Tamara’s blood boiled. She turned around and angrily confronted James. She pulled him by the collar and said, “James, are you fucking kidding me? How could you possibly poison them? I’ve made sure they were well-protected! There’s no way you could have poisoned them. You must be lying!”
“Tammy.” Sebastian was aware that Tamara’s three children were her non-negotiable limit. With James having crossed that line, Tamara was on the brink of an emotional breakdown.
