When Chase helped Fiona rinse off with cold water, he realized it wasn't just a simple bump from behind. The scalding hot lamb stew had splashed across her back. She had also been holding a cup of steaming honey lemon water, which she had brought after hearing he had a cough. The collision had sent it spilling over her, too, leaving her hands red and scalded. Chase immediately called the front desk and asked someone to pick up a change of clothes for her. Then he headed off to find an ice pack somewhere in the office building. On his way out, he ran into Serena. She looked visibly flustered, unsure of what to do or say. "Chase, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bump into her." Only then did Chase realize it had been Serena who collided with Fiona. His brows knitted together. "What are you doing here?" Serena shrank back slightly. "I remembered you liked lamb stew. I went through a lot of trouble to find some and wanted to bring it to you—" Chase cut her off. "That's not necessary.
