Turns out, they weren't as close to their destination as they had thought. Perseus, Fred, and Ramona have been walking for the longest time. The canyon seemed to be within reach, yet it took them almost four hours to get to the foot of the valley. The roads were slippery and covered in snow. It was also incredibly difficult to find their way around. "Huh." Perseus frowned as they reached the bottom of the canyon. "Is it just me, or does the air feel warmer?" He scanned their surroundings and couldn't help but look grim. The canyon was relatively narrow. It was only three to 400 feet wide, but it looked like it stretched on endlessly. "What's that?" Ramona exclaimed as her face paled. Perseus glanced in the direction she was pointing toward. The cliffs above them formed a roof over a small section of the canyon. There was no snow under the cliff, but there was a pile of bones. "Let's go take a look." Perseus led the group toward the scene. Once they reached the small space u
