 My phone was ringing, It was Vidhi, I went to my room.

 " Good... Listen, Shruti called up, she was angry with me that why I gave her number to you. I tried to make her understand that you are not that kind of a man. You could not even think of doing such a thing. "

 " Wait a moment... What did he say? You want me to meet someone special? OH MY GOD!!! Seriously? That's great! When did that happen? I am so excited to meet her. " She looked so happy.
 " Ok mom, you go and get ready for dinner. Sid, I have already booked a table for us in our favourite restaurant. So be there on time. I will come with her. " Bhai said to me.

 The doorbell rang and I opened the door. Maurvi was standing there with a big tray. I smiled at her and took the tray from her. She asked me to wait for a minute and went back to her home to get breakfast for both of us.
 " Oh my god.. are you alright ?? Why have you cooked so much? " I laughed. Just then bhai came out smiling from the kitchen. She smiled at him.
 " It is just that... I thought that aunty would be too tired to prepare food today so I... "
 " How sweet !! Let me see what have you made. Oh my god.!! Rajma, Baingan Bharta, stuffed grilled bell peppers and Jeera Rice. Everything is my favourite. Thanks, Mom would love it. Hey, by the way, are you trying to impress her by any chance?? " I asked her with a smirk.
 " No. It was not like that, I swear." She blushed.
 " Relax beautiful, I was just teasing. " I smiled at her. Bhai laughed and punched me lightly on my arm. I went to keep that tray inside as it had lots of food and came back for another one.
 Bhai took the breakfast Tray from her and hugged her lightly. " Good morning beautiful. What is this?"
 " I prepared the breakfast for Noopur and Kshitij, so prepared for you as well. "
 " Did I tell you that you are the best girl in the world? " I said with a grin.
 " No. You didn't tell me that so do it now. " She smiled.
 " Well Maurvi, you are the best girl in the world. I just told bhai to prepare something to eat. " I said and she smiled and bhai gave the tray to me. I removed the lid of the hot box.
 " Wow!! Paneer parantha!! Love you. Thanks for this or we would have eaten some boring toast... " I said and she smiled. I went inside to eat that and I also wanted to leave them alone.
 Maurvi was a bit tensed because bhai was going to tell our parents about them. But bhai assured her and they both went their way.

 I was waiting for my parents and just then the bell rang. I almost ran to the door to open it.
 My dad was standing there. I hugged him really hard, he patted on my back. My dad was my most favourite person on this earth.
 " Dad, I missed you "
 " I missed you too. That is why we came back sooner. "
 " Where is mom? "
 " She had to go to her brother's home. She will be back by evening. "
 " Ok "
 " So what is going on young man?? Any new developments?? Any girlfriend?? " He asked.
 " No girlfriend till now... " I said thinking about her. But she had not given me that right yet.
 " Both my sons are so slow... When will you grow up?? I was married to your mom when I was your age. Come on yaar, find someone. " 
 Before I could say anything bhai also came. He hugged dad too. I was very hungry, so I reheated the food and we all started enjoying the food, It was awesome.
 " Wow!! From where did you get this food? It is awesome!! Just like home-cooked food. " Dad said taking another helping.
 " It is home-cooked dad. " Bhai said with a smile, I winked at him.
 " You are not such a good cook," Dad said teasing him.
 " I had amazing food during this vacation, though mom was not here. I did not miss her cooking at least. I ate very nice and hot healthy home-cooked food almost every day, just as good as mom's food. Dad, actually, bhai has a surprise for you." I said grinning.
 " Shut up, Sid !! " Bhai said glaring at me and I laughed.
 " What is the surprise?? " Dad looked at him with amusement.
 " Dad, it is a surprise! " Sid said.
 " Have you found a new mom for yourself, who cooks amazing food? " He said and laughed at his own joke. My dad has always had a weird sense of humour...
 " Hey, dad... bingo !!! You are quite close. " I said.
 Dad choked on his food. Bhai shook my head and gave water to him. He drank and looked at us with shock.
 " What nonsense?? I was just kidding, I love your mom, yaar. Don't you dare to repeat this nonsense in front of her or she will throw me out of my own bedroom. "
 Dad looked terrified. He is crazy about mom. Still keeps saying funny things. We both started laughing at his expression.
 " Dad, I said, you are close. He found someone... And he wants her to be the mom of his children. She prepared all this and does that for him every day. " I said and winked at bhai.
 Bhai was glaring at me... All the dialogues he must have practised to start the topic were wasted.
 Poor bhai !! But I was very excited to see my dad's reaction. I knew he would go crazy after this.
 " Oh Thank god !! Wait !! What?? You found a girl for yourself? " Dad looked at bhai with a shocked expression. He glared at me and then looked at dad and nodded.
 " Wow!! Who is she?? Where did you meet her?? Are you serious about her?? Does she... "
 " Wait dad, at least take a breath. I was going to tell you, both you and mom. But this Sid is an idiot, I did not plan to tell you this way. " Bhai said, I was enjoying the drama between dad and bhai with awesome food. It was like watching a comedy movie.
 " Way does not matter. Just tell me, everything. "
 " Dad, I was planning for her to meet both of you. I thought that as it's mom's birthday tomorrow, can I invite her too? You both can meet her. But please don't tell mom till tomorrow. "
 " That's a good idea... You must shock, I mean surprise your mother on her birthday. First, you tell me about her." Dad said with a boyish grin.
 " Tomorrow dad... " Bhai said with a cool smile.
 " Are you really serious about her? " Dad asked as I knew he would not leave the topic now till he knows about the girl. 
 " Yes dad, You both will like her. " bhai said.
 " Sid, you know who she is? You have met her? "
 "Many times, dad. " I smirked at bhai. He glared at me but I was very excited.
 " So?? What is she like? Did you like her? " Dad asked me.
 " No dad, I did not like her. " I said with a serious face.
 " What?? " Both dad and bhai looked at me. Bhai was shocked to hear that.
 " I did not like her dad, I love her. She is great !! You will also not just like her, you will love her. She is good... Better... No best. She is best for bhai and he is crazy about her." I said as I could not contain my excitement.
 " Now shut up, Sid!! " Bhai tried to scold me but smiled instead.
 " I want to meet her right away. " Dad said.
 " No dad, tomorrow. "
 " Why?? If I can meet her tomorrow, why not today? " He asked with a raised eyebrow.
 Aaha!! My adamant dad... He would grill her name out of him within an hour.
 " Dad please yaar, you are being difficult now. "
 " And you are trying my patience now." Dad glared at him
 " Dad, she is a bit nervous," Bhai said.
 " Nervous about what?? Have you told her about your feelings?" Dad asked and bhai nodded.
 " What did she say?? Is she also serious about you? "
 " Yes, dad she is. "
 " Then what is the problem? "
 " There is no problem dad. She is just a bit nervous to meet you. "
 " Why? I am such a sweet, handsome, lovable father of yours. Why is she nervous to meet me? Did you tell her that I am a usual villain type strict father? How could you do that?"
 " No dad, Stop it, please. Why can't you wait till tomorrow? "
 " Ok, ok, I will wait till tomorrow. Call her for breakfast or even better morning tea. "
 " Dad!! " Bhai looked at him and I and three of us burst out laughing. My dad has always been very sweet and funny. He always treated us like his friends and our mom like his queen.
 " I am happy for you, that you found someone, but should I be happy for her ?" He asked scratching his head.
 " Dad!! " Bhai made a face and he smiled.
 " Hey, can't wait till tomorrow. Give me a hint at least... " dad tried again but bhai ignored.
 But I could bet on it that dad will find it out by evening, somehow.
