Hearing this, Joanna seemed to finally gather the courage and took a step closer to me. She reached out to grab my hand but retracted it halfway.
"Joshua, do you remember me from before?"
I furrowed in confusion. "Aren't we kindergarten classmates?"
Why would she suddenly ask that? What was happening?
She shook her head, seemingly bewildered, and spoke softly. "I don't know why, but lately, I've been dreaming about you. My dreams suggest that you're important to me."
