Chapter 23

  Lenora's POV The ache in my head wouldn't stop hurting as I clenched on the sheets of the bed while groaning in pain. It felt as if it was too heavy for my neck, and I thought it might just explode with the constant throbbing and pounding in it. "Dang it," I groaned and cursed as I tried to settle into a single position, hoping that perhaps the ache would stop hurting so badly. After some seconds of settling into a single position, the throbbing ache in my head finally settled and I could hear other sounds but the pounding of my head. My eyes slowly fluttered open as I welcomed the day light into my eyes, but it didn't take me a lot of time to realise that I wasn't in my room. Without thinking it through, I jumped from the bed, but immediately regretted it as the throbbing ache and pounding sounds returned to my head. "You are awake."
