Thomas looked at her and held out a hand. Taking out two pills, Sylvia placed them on the center of the palm of his hand and said, “Put them in your mouth.” He put them into his mouth. She then handed a glass of water to him, “Here, drink this and swallow the pills.” He did as he was told. With that, Sylvia managed to get him to take the medicine that would help with the symptoms of his cold. After it all was done, she told him, “Lie down and get some rest.” Thomas smiled and thanked her, "Thank you." “All I did was get you some medicine, you don’t have to thank me.” She truly meant what she said.
