“Are you sure about this?”
I turned away from the window and frowned at Nate. Why wasn’t he with Angel and Mason? I expected them to put their plan into action.
After the letter we received this morning, I wasn’t going to try and stop them.
“You know once we make this announcement, we are going to face a lot more problems.”
Pursing my lips, I turned back to the window. My eyes darted around, searching for signs of danger, but found none. Everything looked normal.
“Have you bonded her yet?” I asked Nate.
He was silent for a few seconds. “Not yet. Mason was busy bonding her when I left.”
“Good,” I muttered. “A fresh bond mark won’t allow anyone to doubt us. Make sure she wears something that-”
“That reveals the marks clearly. I know,” Nate interrupted.
Nate sighed loudly and then moved closer. I didn’t turn around to look at him even though I could sense him directly behind me.
“Are you mad at him?” Nate questioned. “Are you mad at us for wanting to bond her?”
