I stared at the bandage on my hand as I sat on the couch.
Two weeks had passed since the accident, moving at an agonizingly slow pace.
With my dominant hand injured, simple tasks had become monumental challenges.
Cooking was impossible.
Writing was out of the question.
Even buttoning my shirts required more concentration than solving complex musical theory problems.

Now it was practically my academic lifeline, turning recordings into readable notes I could actually use.
Still, I couldn't afford to miss classes.
With final exams looming and graduation just around the corner, my professors weren't exactly sympathetic to absences.
Graduation.
Once, I'd looked forward to it as the culmination of all my hard work—the moment I'd finally be free to pursue my dreams.
Now, it felt like a confusing milestone leading to an uncertain future.
