While Amy had frozen time around her, Bob had taken the chance to call his army forward. As the time spell shattered, he leapt at the chance to attack. Armand’s army was more than ready to defend him and our pack. My personal guard surrounded me as my mates each kissed my cheek, ready to fight at their father’s side. Amy in her madness, lay chained at my feet, crazed, teeth clenching. “I love you.” I told each of my mates, knowing that this could be a fight for their lives. Having watched Bob’s army and seeing the size of it, my fear was palpable. I couldn’t find anything else within me to say, so I just embraced them and watched them charge forward to join their father’s army. My mates, I knew, were some of the strongest fighters in the pack. I just had to trust that they would be alright. The moon hung low in the ink-black sky, casting an eerie glow over the sprawling battlefield. The air was thick with tension as the two werewolf armies faced off, a sea of fur and
