Jasmine paced anxiously around Nicolai's office, her face etched with worry and fear. She had rushed there directly after failing to catch up with Stephan, but Nicolai's secretary had informed her that he was still tied up in a meeting. Jasmine had opted to wait for him rather than have his secretary interrupt the meeting. Her mind was racing with thoughts of Stephan's latest move. How could he do that?
