Chapter 2 That's immature
Ellis was told by the guards that Louis and Pamela had gone in the direction of the pool. He walked over to check on them and found them engrossed in a passionate kiss.
He smiled and gently walked away, trying hard not to distract the romantic session. Pamela had definitely ran to the pool and Louis went in search of her.
He wants them to stay happy together. To remain loyal to each other and grow deeper in love with each other forever. He also wishes that Leah would understand that this is about Louis' happiness.
When he got back, Leah was already going back to the car. He joined her and as soon as he got in, he said "The girl almost drowned herself in the swimming pool. It's only Louis' quick intervention that saved her" he snorted.
Leah chuckled aloud. When did Ellis become so insensitive? How can he let a little girl like Pamela play pranks on his intelligence?
"She didn't think it through well. If she really wants to die, she shouldn't have used the swimming pool. She should have jumped into the Oak lagoon.
Or better still, run into a moving train. It would have been more sympathetic and real. Why jump into the swimming pool? That's immature of her" Leah stuttered and laughed out loud.
Ellis glanced at her and pouted his lips speechless.
Louis pulled away from the kiss and stared at Pamela's face. Suddenly, the latter started laughing. She liked the way Louis looked, with his hair wet, it plastered on his head and her lipstick had made his lips reddish.
"What?" Louis asked, smiling but wondering why she is feeling so excited despite the heat of what is on ground.
"You..haha…you look like a teenager with his lips painted…hahaha" Pamela laughed again.
Louis kept his gaze on her and suddenly bursted into laughter as well. He held her hands and pulled her body closer to himself. Her Lower body in close contact with his lower body, a fire igniting between them below the water.
Twenty minutes later, Pamela Grayson walked back to the house. Her Body completely drenched, her shoes were being held by the servants and her body was draped with a towel.
Louis was also drenched. But his clothes stuck to his body giving a vivid exposure of the ridges and planes concealed by his suits.
"Prepare a hot coffee and bring it to my room" he instructed, holding Pamela close to his body and taking her upstairs. He was glad his parents had left.
"Go to the bathroom and take a warm bath. It will help a lot to reduce cold" Louis instructed.
As Pamela went to have a bath, Louis went to the next room and took a quick bath. What will he do about this, his Mom wouldn't support their remarriage and Pamela needs to go to Middletown City for her great grandfather's burial.
Should they take a flight to Middletown City and be married before going to the royal house or get married secretly without alerting his parents about it?
It all depends on Pamela's decision. He would ask her what she thinks. Whatever decision she would take, he would stick to her on it. He loves her and will not let his Mom split them apart.
Pamela came out of the bathroom. Now refreshed, she changed into another pair of clothes. She's sad now.
Mrs Leah doesn't like her anymore. Looking at it critically, it's not her fault at all. It would take one to love a person to the moon, like Louis' love for her, for such a one to be able to forgive her excesses.
She never targeted Louis' parents, she was only after Louis. But it's unfortunate that whatever affects Louis invariably affects his parents. That's how she ended up hurting the entire family.
She is leaving. She would find an excuse to give her grandparents. She and Louis were already in a relationship and planning to get married. But no one knew that her great grandfather would die so soon.
The door opened and Louis stepped in. He came over and stood behind Pamela, circling his hands around her waist.
"What now, the trip to Middletown City. Can we leave now? When we get to Middletown City, we get to the bureau, get registered there as a couple or we have it here and make it a secret one?
The decision is yours. Whatever you want, I'll also want. I am with you on this and will support your decision" Louis assured.
Pamela turned herself to face Louis. She caressed his charming face and smiled. She knew she could trust him. He wasn't going to leave her at this critical time of their lives.
"Thank you Louis. You are the best. I know I can count on you anytime. But no, let's not take that direction" Pamela declared and held Louis, bringing him to sit on the edge of the bed.
"We can't get married in Middletown City. If the evidence of our marriage was requested for, and grandfather saw that we got married in Middletown City, probably a few hours before coming to the royal house, how can we prove that we truly married out of love?
My grandparents would think we had an agreement, that we got married for the sole purpose of fooling them. So that isn't going to work.
We can't have a secret marriage either. Your parents already know that we intend to get married. We can't be happy if we keep them in the dark about our union, our forever together.
I want your parents' blessings. Your mother's blessings to be precise. She was a real mother back then when I met her,a loving one and she loves you more than her own life.
It would hurt her soul. How can she forgive us if we treat her that way? It's like passing a thread over her eyes.
What about me, wouldn't she think worse of me? She would think I have turned you against her. And I would never do that,Louis, because I am also a mother" Pamela declared.
Louis reasoned with what she said and shrugged. He had already told her he would stand with her, whatever decision she takes.
"What do we do now?" He asked, pinching the bridge between his eyes.
"We'll wait!" Pamela announced.
