He snapped out of his daze, looked at her, and took a deep breath. "Yeah." But as Terry followed Lisa up the stairs, carrying all the stuff, she noticed his sweaty forehead and asked, "Is the weather that hot? You're sweating so much." She gently wiped his forehead with a tissue. "I'm nervous," he admitted. "Nervous?" She looked surprised. "Why? You see my parents all the time. Besides, it's not like they'll object to our marriage." Despite her assurances, Terry couldn't shake off his nerves. He was perplexed by it as well, as he had always been composed, even in challenging situations. But the thought of asking her parents for her hand in marriage made him incredibly anxious.
