Claire's POV I was just about to drive away when my phone rang. "Claire, it's Emily," a familiar female voice said when I answered. "Hello, Emily. What brings you to call?" I asked, surprised to hear from my former assistant. "I just arrived in Westfield City from Crescent City for a business trip. I heard you were here too, so I thought maybe we could have lunch together," Emily said cheerfully. "I'm sorry, Emily, but I need to leave. Can we have lunch another time?" I replied gently. "You're leaving?" Emily sounded disappointed. "Yes," I confirmed. After a brief silence, Emily said, "I don't know anyone here, and it's been so long since we've seen each other. Maybe just coffee?"
