Claire's POV I was in a foul mood for the entire morning at the office the next day. Lucius hadn't come to see me last night. He must have been really angry! I only hoped to arrive earlier at noon. I planned to go to the restaurant for lunch, where I should be able to see Lucius. I'd apologize to him then. It was finally noon. As soon as I got off work, I immediately grabbed my bag and headed to the restaurant. Connor, Lucius's driver, was standing in front of the door, his expression a bit strange. "Hi, Connor," I greeted him, then stepped inside. Connor instead reached out his hand to stop me. I looked at him in confusion. Connor explained, "Mrs Watson, Miss Briden is inside." I stared at Connor in astonishment, then glanced at the door in front of me. A sinking feeling settled in my stomach. It couldn't be good that Lucius brought Emma here at this time. Then, I stepped forward and gently pushed the door open. As soon as the door opened, I saw Lucius sitting side by side with Emma.
