Claire's POV I found myself watching Lucius eat. He sat perfectly straight, every movement careful and controlled. He ate like royalty or more like the predator I was starting to think he really was. "I'm traveling to England this morning for business,"he announced suddenly. The news caught me off guard. "Why so sudden?" "Decision made last night." He didn't look up from his plate. "Wait, didn't you say you'd take me to see a doctor?" I reminded him. Lucius's face hardened. His jaw tightened like it always did when he was rethinking his plans. "Give me a minute," he said, walking away with his phone. His posture changed and his voice dropped to that commanding tone that seemed to fill the whole room. I could hear him on the phone with Adam, his Beta. "Have Thompson handle the England thing," he said. "I've got something more important here."
