BETRAYAL
“Young master, we have not found one lead about the madam’s whereabouts.
I’m sorry to say young master, but I think the madam is actually dead.
The mission…”
“She is not dead!” I roared, cutting him off, not caring what next he had to say as I jumped up from the chair which I sat on.
My cold eyes bore into his, my nose flared, and my breathing heavy.
I could feel his bones crunching beneath my palm brought me out of my dazed state.
And I traced the noise down to his pathetic, weak jaws.
I had no idea when my hands wrapped around them, but I barely cared.
How dare he say, Leah was dead?
“Repeat after me?” I hissed, squeezing his jaws tighter.
He swallowed, his eyes wide in fear as he struggled to nod, tears clouded his eyes as he muttered yes.
“Say,
Leah Blackwood is not dead,” I growled, and his silence which came after annoyed me more.
So I gripped tighter, my voice loud and intimidating.
“Say it!” I gritted.
He flinched as he stammered his words, “Le…Leah Bla…Blackwood is not dead.”
