Gavin’s POV After Judy went back to her room, I returned to the parlor where Richard was speaking with his wife. They both looked nervous as they discussed what they were going to do if I did happen to pull my funding. Without my funding, they would go bankrupt, and they would lose almost everything. They would have to use the profits from their business to pay back the money I invested. I turned to Michelle and gave her a small smile; she watched me warily and I knew she was only worried for her daughter. “How about you rest as well? I need to speak with the Cash’s alone for a moment,” I told her softly. She nodded and soon, she left. I turned to the Cash family, my eyes narrowed. Richard silenced his conversation and then turned to Kelsey. “Leave us,” he ordered. She pressed her lips in a thin line and folded her arms across her chest. “Can I stay?” She asked him. “No,” he said firmly and without hesitation. “We need to speak with Alpha Landry alone.”
