It's Not Flu
"Are you really eating every day?"
Regan kissed Hazel's cheek.
"Are you worried about something recently? I don't think you've gained much weight. Do you worry about me?"
Regan tapped her wrist twice, indicating that he wasn't.
Hazel still looked worried.
When Luke came in with Zac, they heard Regan coughing.
Hazel couldn't hear any sound and she knew nothing about Regan's current situation. She lay on the comfy sofa, the fat cat crouching in between her legs.
Luke and Zac rushed to Regan.
"Father, your cough is getting worse. I'll ask the doctor to check on you," Luke urged anxiously.
Zac murmured worriedly, "Daddy, why don't you get some rest? I'll pour you a glass of water." With that, Zac trotted to the tea table, poured a glass of warm water, and handed it to Regan.
Regan took the glass and comforted, "It's just common flu. I've already taken the medicine. I'm okay."
However, Luke remembered that his father had been coughing for a month now, and he didn't seem to get any better.
